6 Best Hotels in Miraflores: Ocean-View Places To Stay

When I first started coming to Lima, I stayed in San Isidro. It felt safe, comfortable, and familiar — tree-lined streets, immaculate supermarkets (honestly better than at home), charming restaurants, and El Olivar park, which is genuinely stunning. It was the perfect soft landing. Manageable. Grounded. Easy to navigate.
But over time, I opened my horizons and found myself drawn to Barranco — with its art, its soul, and its creative heartbeat. There’s something about the energy there that sticks with you: the street murals, the galleries, the cafés, and for me, the shopping.
For a long time, Miraflores came in third. It felt more built for tourists — a little too busy, a little too obvious. But recently, something shifted. I started seeing what was always there — especially along the Malecón, that clifftop stretch that runs the length of Miraflores and overlooks the Pacific. Once you tune into that view, everything changes.
The Malecón: Where It All Comes Together

The Malecón is a six-mile coastal path that winds along the cliffs with panoramic views of the ocean. Think bike lanes, parks, gardens, public art, people walking their dogs, paragliders launching from the cliffs, and couples watching the sun dip below the horizon. It’s stunning.
And now, thanks to the new pedestrian bridge connecting to Barranco, it’s also incredibly walkable. You can go from breakfast in Miraflores to a gallery in Barranco, all without touching a car. That kind of fluidity makes the city feel more connected — and way more accessible for travelers.
6 Best Ocean-View (or Adjacent) Hotels in Miraflores
These aren’t ranked — they’re all favorites for different reasons. But they share a few things in common: smart design, good energy, incredible views, and prime access to Larcomar — Miraflores’ cliffside hub for shopping, dining, and people-watching.
1. InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores

📍 Malecón de la Reserva 751 & 767
The InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores is one of the newest hotels in Lima, and it shows. Sleek interiors, a rooftop pool, modern Peruvian design details — it feels elevated but never fussy. It’s set just off the Malecón, so you get views and breathing room. Great for travelers who want something polished, professional, and peaceful.
2. AC Hotel Lima Miraflores (by Marriott)
📍 Malecón de la Reserva 729
The AC Hotel by Marriott is right next to Larcomar, with unbeatable access to the coast, restaurants, shopping, and walking paths. It’s a clean, contemporary space with just the right amount of personality. It’s one of my go-tos for convenience, price, and those cliffside sunset views. Even when I stayed on the 3rd floor, I was able to get a few peekaboo ocean views, and it was magical.
3. Belmond Miraflores Park
📍 Av. Malecón de la Reserva 1035
If you’re looking to splurge, do it at the Belmond. With spectacular unobstructed ocean views and tucked into one of the quieter sections of the Miraflores along the Malecón, the Belmond is serene and luxurious without being stiff. Oversized suites, a stunning rooftop pool, and beautiful service. It’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after the trip ends.
4. Souma Hotel Boutique (Vignette Collection by IHG)
📍 Malecón 28 de Julio 385
Souma is small, stylish, and a little bit hidden — but in the best way. Just a block and a half off the Malecón, close to Parque del Amor and the paragliding zone. The rooms are well-designed and thoughtful, and if you can score one with a view, even better. Boutique feel with international management behind it. And, they offer quite the welcome drink!

5. JW Marriott Hotel Lima
📍 Malecón de la Reserva 615
The JW Marriott hotel has long been a Lima staple, but I’ll be honest — it’s not my first choice. While location is prime and the views are great, it feels somewhat corporate for me, and the pricing doesn’t always match the experience. I feel like there are newer and cooler options available. That said, it’s a known quantity, and sometimes that’s what you want. Plus, there’s a Starbucks in the lobby. Yes, I’m a basic B. And proud of it.
6. Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores (Honorary Mention)

📍 Calle Alcanfores 1332
The Hotel Indigo doesn’t technically offer ocean views, which is why I list it separately — but it’s still worth mentioning. Indigo has a hip yet serene design and nice finishes, and it shares a beautiful courtyard with the InterContinental, which offers ocean views. The Indigo offers great value, solid service, and it’s extremely well-located.
Quick Tips: How to Choose the Right Hotel for You
Woosh… I know that’s a lot. And if you’re still unsure, I get it. So here’s a quick-hit guide to help you land on the right spot:
- Fancy pants, money’s no object? → Belmond Miraflores Park
- Modern, peaceful, and brand-new? → InterContinental Real Lima
- Modern, walkable, and great value? → AC Hotel by Marriott
- Chic and polished, but slightly tucked away? → Souma Hotel
- Reliable, recognizable, with sweeping views? → JW Marriott
- Stylish, central, and budget-friendly? → Hotel Indigo (honorary mention)
And remember — with the Malecón just outside your door and the Pacific shimmering beyond that, you’re already winning.
Final Thoughts on the Best Hotels in Miraflores
Miraflores might not have been my first love, but it’s earned its spot. The walkability, the food, the design, the connection to Barranco — it all works. And if you can wake up, step onto a balcony, and see the Pacific stretched out in front of you? That changes the tone of your trip.
Where you stay shapes how you experience the city. And if you’re heading to Lima, these are the places I recommend again and again.
