One of the things I love most about Lima is its coastline, and one of my favorite ways to experience it is over a great meal.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, grabbing coffee with a view, lingering over breakfast, sipping cocktails from a rooftop terrace, or looking for a budget-friendly lunch, there’s a spot for everyone.
Here are the best ocean view restaurants in Miraflores.
Best Oceanfront Restaurant for a Special Occasion: Cala
If you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or simply want a memorable dinner overlooking the ocean, Cala is one of the best choices in Lima.
Located right on the water near the border of Miraflores and Barranco, Cala has one of those “am I actually on a boat?” views. The Pacific stretches out in front of you with almost nothing between your table and the water. The décor is casual but elegant with a subtle nautical vibe, the food is consistently good, the service is polished, and it’s an easy recommendation for a special occasion.
Would I put it on my personal list of favorite restaurants in Lima? Probably not. But I also live in Los Angeles, so maybe I take ocean views a little for granted.
If you’re visiting Lima and want a memorable dinner overlooking the Pacific, Cala absolutely delivers.
Pro Tip
Reserve a table around sunset. The view is every bit as memorable as the food.
Most Iconic Ocean View Restaurant: La Rosa Náutica

Few restaurants in Lima are as recognizable as La Rosa Náutica.
Built at the end of a pier stretching into the Pacific Ocean, this iconic restaurant has welcomed visitors for decades. While it has earned a reputation over the years as a tourist trap, it has been working hard to reinvent itself.
Today, the menu goes well beyond the standard tourist fare with elevated seafood dishes, creative ceviches, grilled octopus, and contemporary Peruvian flavors that better reflect Lima’s reputation as one of the world’s great food cities.
Is it still touristy? Absolutely.
But it’s also one of the most unique places to dine in Lima, and the food has improved dramatically over the last few years. If you’ve always dreamed of dining above the ocean while the waves crash below, this is the place.
And if the menu doesn’t really entice you, go for a pisco sour and a stroll.
Best Rooftop Ocean View: NAU Nikkei Rooftop at the InterContinental
On my most recent girls’ trip to Lima, we stayed at the InterContinental, and it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip.
The views are beautiful from street level, but once you make your way to the rooftop, everything changes. NAU Nikkei Rooftop serves excellent Nikkei cuisine—a delicious fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors—but it’s the restaurant’s position high above the cliffs that makes it truly unforgettable. The view seems to stretch forever. You can watch the Pacific rolling toward shore, take in the entire sweep of Miraflores, and completely lose yourself watching the waves in the distance.
The sushi is excellent, the cocktails are equally good, and it’s an easy recommendation for a special night out.
But the biggest surprise? Breakfast.
Okay, technically not at NAU.

One floor below the rooftop restaurant is the Club InterContinental Lounge, where we ate breakfast every morning. With the same incredible vantage point, made-to-order coffee, and no rush to leave, it quickly became my favorite meal with a view in Lima. We’d linger over cappuccinos, watch the paragliders floating above the Malecón, and ease into the day before heading out to explore.
By the end of the trip, breakfast with that view had become one of everyone’s favorite memories. Sometimes it’s the little moments—a great cup of coffee, good company, and an unforgettable view—that end up being the highlights of a trip.
27 Tapas at SOUMA Hotel
If you’re looking for another rooftop option, 27 Tapas is an absolute treat.
On my last trip to Lima, I spent an afternoon by the rooftop infinity pool enjoying lunch and soaking in the expansive views over the Pacific. It’s a beautiful setting and a wonderful place to slow down for a few hours.
But the real magic of 27 Tapas happens after the sun goes down. As the evening cools off, some of Lima’s best DJs set the soundtrack while guests sip signature cocktails and share creative small plates overlooking the coastline.
Whether you’re stopping by for sunset drinks or settling in for dinner, it’s one of Miraflores’ most memorable rooftop dining experiences.
The Best Ocean View Restaurants Are in…a Mall

I know… a mall probably wasn’t what you expected to see in an article about the best ocean-view restaurants in Miraflores.
But hear me out.
Built into the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Larcomar is actually one of my favorite places in Lima to grab a meal with a view. You can choose from Peruvian food, Italian, burgers, sushi, coffee, or cocktails, and almost every restaurant is just steps from the same incredible scenery.
Whether you’re looking for a nice dinner or just a quick bite between sightseeing, there’s something here for everyone.
Tanta
Created by Peruvian food god Gastón Acurio, Tanta is one of my go-to recommendations for visitors. The menu is full of approachable Peruvian favorites, it’s consistently good, and the views make it an easy choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
La Bonbonniere
La Bonbonniere has been a Larcomar staple for years.
Is it the most exciting meal you’ll have in Lima? Probably not.
But it’s dependable, the menu has something for everyone, and it’s hard to complain when you’re looking out over the Pacific Ocean.
Trattoria Don Mambrino
Sometimes you just need a reliable bowl of pasta and a great view.
That’s exactly what Don Mambrino delivers.
Mango’s
Mango’s appears on just about every list of ocean view restaurants in Lima, and for good reason.
I’ll be honest—it’s not my favorite restaurant in Miraflores.
But if we’re judging purely on the view, it’s hard to beat. It’s the only restaurant in Larcomar with a lower outdoor terrace, so you feel even closer to the ocean below. If watching the sunset is your priority, this is probably your best bet.
One thing to keep in mind: the layout can be tricky for visitors with mobility issues.
Coffee with a View
Not in the mood for a full meal?
Head to Puku Puku. It’s one of my favorite local coffee shops in Lima, and having a location inside Larcomar means you can grab an excellent cup of coffee and then wander outside to enjoy the same spectacular ocean views.
My Favorite Budget Ocean View in Lima

Here’s my favorite budget tip in Miraflores.
Skip the expensive reservation and head to the Larcomar food court.
Seriously.
Grab whatever sounds good and then walk all the way toward the floor-to-ceiling windows near KFC and Pizza Hut. The views overlooking the Pacific are incredible, especially around sunset.
Now, while I definitely don’t advocate flying all the way to Peru just to eat at KFC, Burger King, or Pizza Hut…I also don’t judge. Sometimes the stomach wants what the stomach wants. Or you’re traveling with kids, and then all bets are off.
If you want something a little more local, you’re only a few steps away from Bembos, Peru’s beloved burger chain, or La Lucha Sanguches, one of Lima’s most iconic sandwich shops.
No matter where you order from, grab your tray and head for the ocean-facing tables.
The best part? You’ll enjoy many of the same spectacular views as the restaurants upstairs for a fraction of the price.
I recommend this all the time because it’s proof that you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy one of the best ocean views in Lima.
Best Breakfast with an Ocean View in Miraflores
Besos Franceses
If you’re spending the morning walking the Malecón or visiting Parque del Amor—which you absolutely should—don’t miss Besos Franceses. It’s one of my favorite places to stop for breakfast, brunch, or simply a coffee with a view.
Perched above the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the café offers front-row views of the paragliders soaring overhead, the iconic El Beso sculpture in Parque del Amor, and Lima’s spectacular coastline. The crêpes are excellent, but honestly, it’s the combination of the food and the setting that keeps me coming back.
Grab a coffee, order a sweet or savory crêpe, or enjoy a light breakfast before continuing your day exploring Miraflores.
Quick Tips for Dining in Miraflores
- Reserve ahead for sunset. Oceanfront tables are in high demand, especially on weekends.
- Know the tipping culture. Many restaurants include a 10% service charge.
- Bring a light layer. Even warm days can turn breezy after sunset along the coast.
- Visit during the dry season for clearer views. December through April typically offers the sunniest skies.
- Take time to explore the Malecón. Many restaurants are within walking distance of Miraflores’ scenic cliffside paths and parks.
- Planning a date night? Several of these restaurants are also among the most romantic dining spots in Lima.
Final Thoughts
One of my favorite things about Lima is that spectacular ocean views aren’t reserved for expensive restaurants.
Yes, you can celebrate a special occasion at Cala, dine above the waves at La Rosa Náutica, or enjoy sunset sushi from the rooftop of the InterContinental. But you can also grab a coffee at Puku Puku, enjoy a casual dinner at Larcomar, or spend less than $15 in the food court and enjoy many of the same incredible Pacific views.
That’s what I love about Miraflores. Whether your budget is $10 or $100, everyone gets to enjoy one of Lima’s greatest assets—its spectacular coastline.
